I got siked last week by KICKFLIP, who have been resurrected as the 3rd team using that roster, this time by s21 IM winner Wrech and some of his friends with IM and invite experience. Assumed forfeit wins being void move a few teams out of playoff contention (sorry for getting your hopes up to watch No Johns crush Bobby and the Bobbettes). Bye-week makeup matches have also been scheduled now, which helps narrow down low seeds.
PREDICTED PLAYOFF SEEDS:
#1 - No Johns
Expected record 16-0. Nothing to add, should easily secure top seed now.
#2 - Every Villain Is Lemons
Expected record 15-1. I was anticipating a forfeit win against KICKFLIP but now they will actually have to play. Not a sure loss, maybe, but even if they win and go 16-0 they will be #2 seed so it doesn't make a difference.
#3 - Milters
Expected record 14-2. They should have the most rounds won of all 14-2 teams. Could still lose to Kawaii Sexu Desu Desu, which would drop them down to ~6th seed & allow Kawaii to make playoffs.
#4 - Not Around Bears
Expected record 14-2. If Milters don't win all remaining games with 5 rounds for in each one, Not Around Bears will take 3rd seed from them as they are on track to only be 1 round behind.
#5 -The Westbrook Effect
Expected record 14-2. A 4-3 loss to the new KICKFLIP drops their seed, but not significantly. They've been playing with a pocket, so likely not meeting their full potential. UPDATE: JOE says they will be starting playoffs with more subs, roster tba.
#6 - Egg Salad Dressing
Expected record 14-2. Their match against Kawaii Sexu Desu Desu was too close for comfort, but the 3 remaining games should be much easier.
#7 - malicious activity
Expected record 13-3. Circa left the roster and Aim doesn't want to play anymore, causing them to shuffle the lineup (seems to change every game). Lost to KICKFLIP pretty badly on sunshine. Not sure who they will actually use in playoffs.
#8 - Hurricane Watch
Expected record 12-4. Their combo is back from vacation now and they should be able to avoid another forfeit loss fiasco.
#9 - Bote 6v6
Expected record 11-5. Their new pocket p3nguin (soldier from Bote Highlander) is not yet paid up & hasn't played a game, but seems to be doing fine in scrims.
#10 - MintyFresh
Expected record 11-5. They've been under the radar for most of the season, but an impressive golden cap win over Mario Gang might show that they've grown enough to be able to hold their own in playoffs.
#11 - Mario Gang
Expected record 11-5. Two losses on sunshine hurts their playoff seed a little bit. They've shuffled roster now and it remains to be seen how well they will play without megaboy, but big papa han is an excellent pickup.
#12 - KICKFLIP
Expected record 11-5. Open s22 finally has it's sandbaggers, with half of s21 IM winners and current invite team Sinful Gaming abandoning to take over an open team. Rumor has it that icTus is playing on -ASTRA-'s account. Only EVIL really stands in their way; if they lose that match, they won't likely have enough rounds won to make playoffs.
#13 - System 2
Expected record 10-6. As mentioned last week, should have the most rounds of all 10-6 teams by a significant margin. Haven't lost since dreamboat started subbing in matches again 8).
#14 - Cant Predict Stupid
Expected record 10-6. Two forfeit wins last week drops their rounds-for count. With their bye week makeup scheduled against low-mid team Razes Empty Wallet they should have no problem reaching 10 wins.
#15 - WuT dUdE
Expected record 10-6. With their bye week makeup scheduled against low open and possibly dead team The Youngbloods they should have no problem reaching 10 wins.
#16 - Bob-omb Squad
Expected record 10-6. Having the lowest rounds-for of tied teams, their playoff spot depends on Kawaii Sexu Desu Desu losing to Milters, unless another expected 10-6 team loses a game.
POSSIBLE SPOILER TEAMS:
Kawaii Sexu Desu Desu - Came close against ESD, but now they must beat Milters (or have a team above them suffer an upset loss) to make playoffs. By far the most rounds-for of all 9-7 teams.
Bearly Alive - I guess they could hypothetically beat No Johns to take 16th seed.
